The Pier Wood Collection

In the 60s and 70s Hastings Pier was the place for up and coming rock bands to play.  Jimi Hendrix, The Stones, The Kinks and The Who all played on those boards and much later in 2002 Joe Strummer played one of his last ever gigs there.

Hastings Pier caught fire 2010 but that wasn’t the end of the story.

When the decision to rebuild was made we were the lucky ones to salvage the re-usable timber and use it to build all the new pier’s furniture, which we designed in collaboration with the architects dRMM.

Fairy tales do come true and the new Hastings Pier won the prestigious Stirling Prize for architecture in 2017.

This range of dining tables and benches are made from our remaining stock of the original hardwood boards.  The design is the same as we made for the pier and is suitable for both indoor and outdoor use. If our standard sizes don’t suit your needs, let’s talk about it - we can stretch to boardroom or banquet size.
